INTERGROUP SPEAKERS COMMITTEE

“I spend a great deal of time passing on what I learned to do to others who want it and need it badly.  I do it for four reasons:

  1. Sense of duty.

  2. It is a pleasure.

  3. Because in so doing I am paying my debt to the man who took time to pass it on to me.

  4. Because every time I do it I take out a little more insurance for myself against a possible slip.”    [1]

The Intergroup Speakers Committee was started in 1999, because it was felt alcoholics should know more about service and Intergroup, and has been carrying the message to the fellowship of how important service has been to our sobriety.  Commitments are obtained by going to Bookers and are filled by any member of the fellowship who has a desire to participate.  This Webpage is designed to make it easier for members of the fellowship to sign-up for speaking commitments by e-mailing the Committee and clicking on the link below.

This Committee does not hold monthly meetings but you may also sign up at the monthly Intergroup meeting which is held on the first Monday of the month at The Polish Cultural Foundation, 177 Broadway, Clark, New Jersey, at 8:30 p.m.  Any comments or suggestions can be e-mailed to the link below.
